LVR Wetterwille organiseert sinds 1984 de elfstedenroeimarathon. De Leeuwarder roeivereniging kan dit alleen dankzij de inzet van vele vrijwilligers, waaronder die van collega roeivereniging De Geeuw uit Sneek. De elfstedenroeimarathon wordt jaarlijks gehouden, kent een internationaal deelnemersveld en is de eerste, langste en zwaarste roeimarathon van Nederland.
LVR Wetterwille has been organizing the Eleven Cities Rowing Marathon since 1984. The Leeuwarden rowing club can only do this thanks to the efforts of many volunteers, including those from the fellow rowing club De Geeuw from Sneek. The Eleven Cities Rowing Marathon is held annually, features an international field of participants, and is the first, longest, and toughest rowing marathon in the Netherlands.
